I think most of us have a hobby or something that we enjoy doing. It might be Cooking, Reading, Watching television, Running, Texting.... You get the idea- Mine just happens to be crafting. More specifically scrapbooking. I am very fortunate to have a Custom Built Room just for my favorite past time. My craft room is upstairs from our Master bedroom. Along the entire South Wall is custom built bookcases where I have tons of storage and organization. On the West wall is where my sitting area is where I can just relax, read my scrapbook magazines, look through idea books, or sit and enjoy some of my work with a cup of tea. My craft room is set up primarily by "Work Stations"- On the East wall (North Side) is my Die Cut and Tool Station where I have a variety of tools and die cut machines (manual and electronic) On the extreme North wall is my primary work station. It has a custom counter top over 12 feet long- big enough where I can really spread out, or have a friend over to scrapbook with me. Above this area I have shelving where I have organized all my embellishments, etc. In the NE corner is my computer. On the back South wall is my "Sewing Station" (Nope, I can't sew clothes, but I can sew on paper!) On the West side is a outside door that opens up onto our upstairs balcony. (I sometimes enjoy going outside and sitting up there just to soak up the sun.) In the center of my room I have another work station, with a view of the TV. This, also gives me more opportunity to invite friends over to scrapbook with me. I have tons of shelves, storage, etc. I have wood flooring laid for easy cleanup. (Especially when I drop a entire jar of brads and they go flying all over the place.) It does not matter if you have an entire room, a work table, a rolling tote, just as long as it is "Your Space". Believe it or not I always try to keep it cleaned and picked up so that I WANT to go up there and create. Imagine That!
